The company was originally started as
"The Book Shop" in 1884 downtown Joliet.
1928 The
Book Shop became an authorized AB Dick
Dealer.
1948 Purchased the first delivery truck
1958 Became a Steelcase Dealer
1969 Changed name from The Book Shop
Inc. to Markelz Office Products
1969 Moved to our current location at
2415 McDonough in Joliet, IL
1994 Changed name from Markelz Office
